Who fails? Who succeeds?

The difference between people who succeed and people who fail, is that people who fail get discouraged and give up too early.

You must go 100 percent for what you want, and continue to keep going, do what it takes and maintain 100 percent resolve.

Whether your goal is success, happiness, good health, building a business, living a fulfilling life, or something else: you must commit 100 percent and go for it. One thing is certain: if you allow yourself to become discouraged, if you give up, you will fail.

If you fail there are always many good and reasonable-sounding excuses to explain your failure. But do you really want to finish up by justifying your failures?

“Do, or do not. There is no try.” as Jedi Master Yoda says in Star Wars.

Worthwhile outcomes require planning, decision taking and action and you will almost always face challenges along the way. Therefore if you are going to commit 100 percent to something, it makes sense to choose something worthwhile. Choose a goal worth your time, effort and commitment, think it through and determine at the outset that you will follow through to completion. If you have doubts, think it through until you can commit to this; otherwise you are just wasting your time.

1. Create a clear goal and keep this ever in mind.
2. Choose good counsel: good teachers, guides, friends and co-workers.
3. Do not allow yourself to be disheartened or distracted. If you notice yourself straying from your chosen path, stop. Rest, refocus and continue.

This is your time, your life – make it a good one!
