Reiki

All Bronze Dragon courses are designed to teach you practical, effective systems in a safe, responsible and down-to-earth manner. In these Reiki courses I aim to dispel any mystique and provide you with a good, safe foundation in this natural energy healing method. Anyone can learn Reiki and you will be able to enjoy the benefits from the very first day's training.

Reiki is open to everyone – You don’t need to have any special prior ‘talent’ for healing, all you need is the curiosity or interest to learn Reiki, and an open-minded attitude to experiencing for yourself how and why it works.

Reiki is a natural form of healing dating back thousands of years and re-discovered in Japan by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s. Reiki means "universal life force" and this energy is channelled through the practitioner during a Reiki healing session. The ability to channel Reiki is transferred to the student by the Reiki master during an attunement process, which will be explained during the course.

Reiki does not involve any belief system and can therefore be ethically and safely practiced by anyone. Your own beliefs, religion or thinking about how Reiki actually works, are up to you – my students over the years have included practicing believers from all the major religions, as well as agnostics and atheists. All have gone away happy that Reiki healing works, that they can flow this healing energy, and with their own differing beliefs as to how it works. You’ll find comments from a variety of past students on this website, as well as Dr Usui’s own guiding principles for life.

I teach Reiki according to the traditional Usui method, with the emphasis on supporting each person to discover and develop their healing abilities at their own pace. Reiki I is wonderfully beneficial for everyone, and for some people it is enough just to be able to help themselves and their loved ones, and to discover a new and delightful ability in themselves. Others find that, even though they don’t want to become a practitioner, they want to continue with Reiki II and III to develop their healing abilities and as part of their spiritual path.

For those who do wish to become practitioners or teachers of Reiki, I offer additional support and guidance. You’ll be asked to do case studies at Reiki II and to assist with courses at Reiki III, if you wish to teach, but there is no time limit for this. Some people know up-front that this is their aim, others may find that this path develops for them later on, and many people who take Reiki practitioner training use their Reiki in wonderful ways in their work, at home and in their community, without ever ‘officially’ setting up as a Reiki Practitioner.

SUSANNA BELLINI, REIKI MASTER

Susanna has 20 years experience practising healing therapies and 12 years experience as a trainer. Her qualifications include: MA in Counselling; FAETC with NVQ L4 TDLB; Diplomas in Counselling, Hypnotherapy and Crystal & Gem Therapy. Susanna also teaches practitioner courses in Neuro Linguistic Programming and Crystal & Gem Therapy.

REIKI I

1 day course

The first level opens your healing channels and enables you to use Reiki for self-healing, as well as for helping friends, family, pets and even your plants! This is a fun, relaxing, experiential day, with a small group of like-minded people.

You’ll learn about the history of Reiki and the similarities and differences between Reiki, spiritual healing, therapeutic touch and other energy healing systems.

The course includes practical experience of giving and receiving Reiki; depending on numbers this is sometimes done one-to-one and sometimes in groups.

Learning Reiki I can be a wonderfully relaxing and empowering experience - especially when you allow yourself to relax and enjoy the day. If this is your first exploration of energy work / healing, you may be wondering whether ‘it’ really exists and works, and if so, you may be worrying about whether you will be able to do it. Rest assured, ‘it’ exists, you will be able to experience your own energies and how it feels to receive Reiki healing and you will be able to channel Reiki healing to others before the end of this course. This is so for everyone who has learned Reiki with me so far, and it will be the same for you.

During the course you’ll learn the hand positions for self-healing, as well as for treating others. One of the wonderful things about Reiki is that it starts with taking care of and appreciating yourself – something we all need, I think. Following this course, you’ll be giving yourself Reiki daily for 21 days to integrate the new healing energies and to help re-balance and clear your own system.

This is a wonderful way for you to experience the healing benefits of Reiki for yourself and to gain in confidence flowing the energy. When you give yourself some Reiki every day, you’ll notice how it helps you to relax and cope with even the busiest life. You may notice detoxing, clearing effects, and you’ll start to feel lighter, clearer and happier. You may find that you reassess things that you were stressing and worrying about, and that you find the strength to make any changes that are good, healthy and positive for you. This process of change may be a little ‘bumpy’ at times, but well worth it as your life moves in ever more positive directions.

Other delightful benefits of Reiki are that you’ll notice your intuition sharpening and you may well see, hear, feel, and experience scents or tastes more intensely. Reiki brings out the best in you, develops your creativity, intensifies your capabilities and helps you to discover and follow your path in life. 

REIKI II

1 day course + case studies

Reiki II is for those of you who wish to become Reiki healing practitioners, as well as for those of you who wish to develop further for your own personal reasons, or as part of your healing journey.

The Reiki II attunement intensifies the energies introduced at Reiki I and you’ll notice this as soon as you start practicing. You will also learn three symbols for use in healing treatments and healing at a distance.

The wonderful thing about Reiki II, using the symbols, is that you can so easily flow Reiki in all areas of your life:

• to energise your affirmations, projects, aims and goals

• to help you communicate better in all situations, and to understand better what others really mean

• to cleanse and energise food and drink

• to change negative habits through clearing and releasing the root cause

• to ‘sparkle yourself up’ when you want to shine, and ‘disappear’ when you’d rather not be noticed

• to learn and remember better

• to clear negative energy in places and situations and replace with positive energy

and lots more!

During the course you’ll learn how and when to use the symbols in all these other ways, as well as during healing treatments. You’ll also learn how to send Reiki to people, places and situations at a distance. During the afternoon you’ll gain practical experience of giving and receiving Reiki, using the symbols, in pairs or groups.

Once again, this practical experience during the course will give you the confidence and proof of your intensified healing abilities and the ways the symbols work at this level.

After this course, if you wish to receive Practitioner certification, you complete five simple case studies, which allow you to gain experience giving Reiki healing to people, animals, groups of people, places, situations and the earth. If you would like additional advice and assistance on setting up in practise, this is given after you have completed and sent in your case studies.

REIKI III (MASTER)

1 day + assisting on courses

Reiki Master training is arranged individually at your request, when you feel that this is the right time for you. We start with a day together, and as this is one-to-one, there is some flexibility in where we arrange this – for example, some people like to have this course in their own home, so that the Reiki energies of this special experience fill their own personal space. Others may wish to choose somewhere special for their Reiki Master attunement, and as far as this is possible, I am happy to do this.

During our day together, you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions and discuss any personal experiences that have arisen during your Reiki practice. You will receive the Reiki III attunement, which intensifies your Reiki healing energies again, you’ll learn the Reiki Master symbol (Usui and Tibetan) and how to give Reiki I, II and III attunements.

Some people take Reiki III to enhance their healing abilities, others already know that they want to teach Reiki. Training at this level is individual, and if you come for your personal development and then decide later on that you wish to teach, this is fine and you can come and assist on courses and discuss teaching Reiki then.

Reiki Master level, in my view, is a matter of personal responsibility and personal connection to this wonderful healing energy. I do not consider it my role to decide when you are ‘ready’ to do this training, nor when you are ‘ready’ to teach. I do ask you to assist on at least one Reiki I and one Reiki II training, before you start teaching Reiki yourself. This gives you the chance to give practice giving the attunements alongside me, to remind yourself about how I teach levels I and II, and to learn to handle the questions and experiences that may arise during classes.

I am ready and willing to share my experience over many years of teaching Reiki, including

• Course content for levels I, II and III

• Format and cost of courses

• Reiki standards, ethics and other teaching considerations

In addition you will receive a Reiki Master manual, including course documentation, which you may use for your own courses if you wish. You are also welcome to assist on as many Reiki I and II courses as you wish, until you feel confident and ready to teach by yourself.

However, I do not insist that you teach in exactly the way I do, or charge the same fees or structure the format in the same way. I feel that this is both your responsibility and your delight in bringing your own character and experience to this process.
