How to Use a Pendulum
Choosing a pendulum
You can buy pendulums made from metal, lead crystal, quartz crystal (or other mineral), and wood. However, you can use anything hanging from a thread, string or chain, as long as it hangs in balance.
It may be useful to choose something that tapers to a point, for greater accuracy and ease.
Find something that suits you, for weight, balance, ease of use and depending on your purpose.
Learning to use a pendulum
The first step is to set up reliable signals through the pendulum. Like finger signals in hypnosis, this sets up visible communication from your unconscious.
I describe two methods below - for both of these, hold the string lightly between finger and thumb, with the pendulum hanging freely below. Experiment with the length of string to find out what works best for you.
You can use either method, according to your own preference.
Method 1
While holding the pendulum, as above, mentally ask the pendulum to show you a "Yes" signal. The pendulum will swing in a circle or other clear movement - note this.
Now ask to be shown a "No" signal - you should get a different movement - note this.
Now ask to be shown a signal for "Unsure" - again you will get a different, or little movement.
You can now check these by asking simple questions to which you know the answer, and watching to see that you get consistent "Yes" "No" and "Unsure" signals.
Once you are satisfied that this is consistent you can go ahead and ask other questions to which you do not consciously know the answer.
Method 2
While holding the pendulum, as above, start it swinging gently backwards and forwards on a line straight in front of you.
Mentally tell the pendulum that a "Yes" signal is to the right. Continue to think "YES, TO THE RIGHT" until you see a definite change in the pendulum's movement to swing to the right. (This may be movement on a straight line or a circular swing). Your intention causes micro-muscle movements moving the pendulum in the required direction.
Repeat this process, mentally instructing that a "No" signal is to the left. You can stop when you have a clear movement to the left.
Repeat again, mentally saying that an "Unsure" signal is straight backwards and forwards.
You can now check these by asking simple questions to which you know the answer, and watching to see that you get consistent "Yes" "No" and "Unsure" signals.
Once you are satisfied that this is consistent you can go ahead and ask other questions to which you do not consciously know the answer.
Using a pendulum to answer questions
The crucial key to getting good answers is to frame clear, straightforward questions that can be answered 'yes' or 'no.' The quality of your answers depends on the quality of your questions.
You will realise from Method 2 that you can influence the swing of the
pendulum. If you have a strongly preferred answer in mind, be
careful that you are not consciously or unconsciously affecting the
pendulum's swing!
Mentally detach yourself from any desired outcome, relax, clear your
mind, distract yourself with something else, then ask your
questions. Accept the first and quickest response as the answer.
